A word from the blogger himself…

Mike Valletta

You might recognize me. You might see me around town. I might just be one of your neighbors. Hi, my names Mike Valletta, you can call me Mike, and I’m the proud blogger of  “In touch…with the Litchfield Hills.” I wanted to write this particular entry because I didn’t want people to think I’m some type of person in disguise. I like to get to know my readers. I’m pretty new in town, originally from Waterbury, I moved to Torrington, CT over a year ago for a change of life…and I guess you could say a change of scenery as well. The intentions of my blogs are to meet new people in the local area. I’ve found that this place is pretty “Kick ass” compared to where I used to live. Theres definitely no turning back and I’m proud of the changes I have made. Since I’ve made those changes, I’m eager to get out and meet the locals so be sure to give me a shout sometime!

At just 23 years old, I feel I have accomplished a lot in my life. I’m currently an Assistant Manager for Walmart stores Inc, though outside of Litchfield County.  You might have read my comments in the local paper “The Register Citizen” in the Ben Franklin project and the safety of downtown:  http://registercitizen.com/articles/2010/07/04/news/doc4c2ffceae43fe608483615.txt#blogcomments

I believe in this place more than you probably know. Litchfield county is the greatest place in the state of Connecticut in my opinion. I’ve had the opportunity to meet many friendly people over this past year and couldn’t have been more pleased to have met those individuals. I’m happy to be here in Litchfield county, and I’m happy to have a place on the web where I can bring Litchfield county together at the end of the day.

Lets talk! I look forward to meeting you!

  1. You’re from Waterbury? You look kind of familiar. Did you go to Kaynor?

Hey Elizabeth! Yes, I spent 22 years of my life in Waterbury. I grew up in the east end by the Wolcott border. I attended Holy Cross for 2 years and Crosby for 2 years, graduating in 2004. I’m sure you’ve seen me around town a time or two! I did go to Naugy Valley for one semester too back in 2005..
