Autumn delight and all its sights.

Autumn is a great time of year here in Connecticut‘s Litchfield Hills. No place else in Connecticut can you experience the magic of the season as hillsides come alive! Our region is a tourist destination discovered by many this time of year. Leaf peepers continue to come out and catch up on some terrific photography opportunities. One town here in Litchfield County, Kent, was named the number one town in all of New England by Yankee Magazine, to catch some of our autumn wonder.

The above video is of Kent Falls State Park in Kent,CT. I own no rights to the video, however it is excellent and displays the scenes of autumn in Kent quite well. Kent Falls is a popular tourist destination in Kent that offers not only splendor in nature, but also an array of adventure as you hike the many trails offered at the park. These trails, furthermore, will allow you to take some of the most amazing pictures that our county has to offer you this season. It’s no wonder why Kent was named the top town in New England for this season!

After you’ve discovered Kent Falls, take a short ride to the other side of the mountain and discover Lake Waramaug, which is an incredible delight! Take a spin with your bike or travel by car around the lake and take in the sights. You’ll see an array of breathtaking photo opportunities like the one showcased on the left. This area is also home to many New Yorker’s who love to take the two-hour drive from the city and spend a weekend out here in the country. It’s a great escape the pressures of everyday life. The hustle and bustle of city life, is far away from this place. Out here, it’s all about unwinding and experiencing life at a slower pace.

Here in Connecticut’s Litchfield Hills, we live life a little different and during the autumn season, we welcome you to be a part of our culture. Come and experience all that our hill towns have to offer, you won’t be disappointed! From Kent Falls to Lake Waramaug, these two tourist destinations are where you’ll want to be to capture some amazing colors of fall, as well as experience life in a different tune.
