Get your ugly sweater ready!

Get ready to have a little fun with the ugliest sweater you can find!

We all have them. Those ugly sweaters that we get for the holidays that we never want to be seen in public with, and for good reason too. They are the ones that you just want to keep in the gift box that you got them in and give them away as a gift next year. Well, before you go ahead and start re-gifting, you’re going to want to have a little fun with it first. On Friday November 26th at 7PM, you can have tons of fun with it! Friday will be a huge night in Torrington as the town comes together to Light Up Main Street for the holidays. Once you are done taking part in the festivities, you might as well close it out with a bang! Head on over to Bogey’s Pub and take part in the A.C.T’s Ugly Sweater Party, beautifully created by Torrington’s first lady Jennifer Bingham.

The event is sure to be a huge hit with everyone in town, so why not bring a few of your friends too! The minute you buy your first drink, you are treated mighty well for wearing that ugly thing. You’ll get one drink on the house! If you can’t find any ugly sweaters, don’t worry, you’ll still get $1 off of your drink, after all, this is all in good fun and a great way to kick off the holiday season with family and friends as you’re enjoying live music from The Main Street Suits and Frantic Blue. You’ll love the Main Street Suits. They will be offering up a few Christmas carols with a punk rock twist, and as we all know, punk rock is huge in the Torrington community.

As mentioned, this wonderful event will be taking place during Torrington’s Light Up Main Street. A perfect way to kick-off the holiday season in town as you spend time with not only family and friends, but neighbors as well. Julia Sloan, of Brazen Betties, will be hosting an Artisan Bazaar as well from 3-7PM at Coe Park. The bazaar will be a great place to find some cool holiday gifts from local artisans. You’ll be able to find everything from jewelery, clothes, home accents, art, and of course food! I can’t think of a better way to kick-off the holidays in Torrington. I know just from the sound of everything that these events are going to be something that you are not going to want to miss. So get those ugly sweaters ready and get ready to have a fun night on the town, it will be well worth it!
