25 Favorite Things of Winter

As yet another round of winter weather impacted Litchfield County this morning, dumping anywhere from 3-6 inches of heavy wet snow, it is clear that many have had just about enough of mother natures steroid addiction. To make matters worse, she is now bringing in some gusty winds and arctic cold temperatures. It should come as no surprise that many of us have lost any and all sanity that we have left as we are plagued with winter fatigue. Visions of warm summer days seem so far away and at this point, even farther away as the winter isn’t even close to being over and we have more snow than we know what to do with. Seriously. We don’t know what to do with it all. We’ve had it, but mother nature doesn’t get the hint. She is probably laughing her you know what off as she plans her next move. That thaw we received? I think it was the worst tease ever and I would strongly advise mother nature never to do that again.

As I’ve been preaching, I am a skier and I am in love with this winter season. Seriously. It has been wicked awesome. By now, however, I feel like I should fly out to Alaska and take notes from the Eskimos, that is if I would ever be able to take a flight out of “Connarctica”.
