It was 4:30AM and off went the alarm. I woke right up. I dozed off at about 9:30 last night. On any given day, the rise and shine before the birds get up would still be a problem! Not today. Today I have a big agenda. It’s the day I make my way to Killington Resort in Vermont to cover the Dew Tour.
I quickly packed my bags like any last minute man would do, warmed up the car for about fifteen minutes then I was on my way to the Green Mountains of Vermont, but not before making a stop for my morning joe at McDonalds. That delicious coffee just screams my name, especially at 5AM!
It’s now 8AM and I have just landed at the Vermont Welcome Center just off Interstate 91. It wasn’t a long journey at all and pretty free and clear of any traffic. The scenes around here are pretty amazing, and I’ve only just begun. I’m at least another hour south of the resort. The journey up will consist of mainly back roads up through Vermont’s scenic Route 100. It is through there where the number of cows outnumber the people, though I doubt any of them are out today. It’s a balmy negative two degrees!
