Brignole Vineyard Brings a Taste of Napa to Connecticut.

We all know by now that I really love vineyards.

My Italian roots run deep, and as an Italian, I believe a good glass of wine is good for the soul. Don’t take my word for it, however, read some of the studies on red wine and how it may help with the longevity of our lives. Paired with chocolate, I’m pretty sure we’ll all be living a pretty nice life as we are wheeled around in our wheelchairs later in life to more wineries.

Have you spent time at Connecticut’s latest winery?

Brignole Vineyard in East Granby opened to the public in 2016 and has been enchanting the hearts of many, not only with the tasteful wine selection, but also with the magnificent architecture. Complete with a marble staircase leading into the winery with a chandelier of empty wine glasses shedding light on you as you make your way inside, the outside is just a taste of things to come. Once inside, you are greeted by a fireplace surrounded by comfortable leather couches and a room so expansive that it can cater a wedding as it overlooks the vineyards below with its gorgeous outdoor deck.

You don’t find wineries like this in Connecticut, this stunning location would indeed replicate one that can be found in the famed Napa Valley of California.

So, with as good as this place looks, I bet you’re wondering how the wine is.

Well, thats of course the most important part, and I’m here to tell you that its even better than the backdrop. In fact, it is so good, perhaps you should watch how much you consume. Bring food. Bring friends. You’re going to have a great time.

With full bodied reds and delightful fruitful blends of whites and reds, there is indeed something for everyones palette here. Don’t stop at the bottles, save room for the delicious sangria. If wine were a cake, the sangria would indeed be the frosting.

How could I ever move away from Connecticut with a place like this? Connecticut has fast become the Napa Valley of New England, and I am proud to call it my home.
